Rehabilitation begins within hours of surgery and continues daily until you fly home. Each patient receives a written protocol matched to their procedure.

Joint replacement. Walking with a frame on day one, stairs by day two or three, independent walking with sticks by discharge. Home exercises focus on range of motion and quadriceps or gluteal strength.

Arthroscopy and ligament surgery. Early motion, swelling control and progressive loading. Return to running is typically three to four months for ACL reconstruction and return to sport at nine to twelve months.

Spine surgery. Walking from day one, avoiding bending, lifting and twisting for six weeks, then a graded core programme.

At home. Your local physiotherapist receives the protocol and can contact your surgical team directly. Video follow-ups at two, six and twelve weeks track your progress.
