Admission is usually the day before or the morning of surgery. You meet your surgeon in person, review the plan and sign consent. The anaesthetist assesses you and blood tests, ECG and any final imaging are completed.
Fasting instructions are given the evening before. Bring your passport, insurance details and medications. Your coordinator stays with you through admission and explains the ward routine, meal options and visiting arrangements for companions.
