Questions

Before you travel.

How does Orthopedics Abroad work?
You share your imaging and reports; a partner surgeon in the right subspecialty reviews them within 48 hours and returns a written plan with a fixed package price. If you proceed, we schedule surgery, arrange transfers and accommodation, and coordinate your care in Turkey and your follow-up at home.
Are the surgeons and hospitals accredited?
Partner hospitals hold Joint Commission International (JCI) or equivalent accreditation and Turkish Ministry of Health authorisation for international patients. Surgeons are board certified with subspecialty fellowship training and perform their procedures at high volume.
How much can I save compared with the US or UK?
Package prices in Turkey are typically 50 to 70 percent lower than self-pay prices in the United States and 40 to 60 percent lower than private prices in the UK or Germany. Every cost guide on this site shows a source-backed country comparison with a last-updated date.
What is included in a package price?
Surgeon and anaesthetist fees, implants, the hospital stay, pre-operative tests, in-hospital physiotherapy, medication during your stay, transfers, coordination and 12 months of remote follow-up. Flights, hotel and companion costs are quoted separately.
How long do I need to stay in Turkey?
Between three days for a day-case procedure and around ten days for joint replacement or spinal fusion, so that wound checks and first physiotherapy sessions happen before you fly.
